Excerpt from Earl Prevette - How to Turn Your Ability into Cash

God knows His business. He makes no mistakes. Everything created by Him has a place, or it would not have
been created. You have a place. You are an individual. Your finger prints indicate this. Of all the millions of
finger prints on record, no two are alike. Your finger prints distinguish you. You are a complete entity possessed
with all the qualities and attributes to unfold into a perfect individual. You can-not imitate another's finger prints,
and neither can you ape another's ability. You must rely on your own. You must practice self-reliance.
What is self-reliance? It is relying on your own mental resources, judgment and ability to perform. It is absolute
trust in the integrity of your own mind. Integrity is the quality of being complete. It is the independence of
individuality and helps you to realize that no part of you can be separated from the whole of you. You have got
what it takes at any time or any place. All you have to do is to rely on it. Think, speak and act your latent
convictions and they shall be the means to influence all men. Self-reliance is the power to believe in your own
thought, and to act as if it were impossible to fail.

How To Write A Good Advertisement

How To Write A Good Advertisement
By Robert W. Bly

To define what constitutes good print advertising, we begin with what a good print ad is not:

  • It is not creative for the sake of being creative.
  • It is not designed to please copywriters, art directors, agency presidents, or even clients.
  • Its main purpose is not to entertain, win awards, or shout at the readers, “I am an ad. Don’t you admire my fine writing, bold graphics, and clever concept?”

In other words, ignore most of what you would learn as a student in any basic advertising class or as a trainee in one of the big Madison Avenue consumer ad agencies.

Okay. So that’s what an ad shouldn’t be. As for what an ad should be, here are some characteristics shared by successful direct response print ads:

  • They stress a benefit. The main selling proposition is not cleverly hidden but is made immediately clear. Example: “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”
  • They arouse curiosity and invite readership. The key here is not to be outrageous but to address the strongest interests and concerns of your target audience. Example: “Do you Make These Mistakes in English?” appeals to the reader’s desire to avoid embarrassment and write and speak properly.
  • They provide information. The headline “How to Stop Emission Problems—at Half the Cost of Conventional Air Pollution Control Devices” lures the reader because it promises useful information. Prospects today seek specific, usable information on highly specialized topics. Ads that provide information the reader wants get higher readership and better response.
  • They are knowledgeable. Successful ad copy reflects a high level of knowledge and understanding of the product and the problem it solves. An effective technique is to tell the reader something he already knows, proving that you, the advertiser, are well-versed in his industry, application, or requirement.

An opposite style, ineffectively used by many “professional” agency copywriters, is to reduce everything to the simplest common denominator and assume the reader is completely ignorant. But this can insult the reader’s intelligence and destroy your credibility with him.

  • They have a strong fee offer. Good ads contain a stronger offer. They tell the reader the next step in the buying process and encourage him to take it NOW.

All ads should have an offer, because the offer generates immediate response and business from prospects who are ready to buy now or at least thinking about buying. Without an offer, these “urgent” prospects are not encouraged to reach out to you, and you lose many potential customers.

In addition, strong offers increase readership, because people like ads that offer them something—especially if it is free and has high perceived value.

Writers of image advertising may object, “But doesn’t making an offer cheapen the ad, destroy our image? After all, we want awareness, not response.” But how does offering a free booklet weaken the rest of the ad? It doesn’t, of course. The entire notion that you cannot simultaneously elicit a response and communicate a message is absurd and without foundation.

  • They are designed to emphasize the offer.

Graphic techniques such as “kickers” or eyebrows (copy lines above the headline), bold headlines, liberal use of subheads, bulleted or numbered copy points, coupons, sketches of telephone, toll-free numbers set in large type, pictures of response booklets and brochures, dashed borders, asterisks, and marginal notes make your ads more eye-catching and response-oriented, increasing readership.

Why? My theory is that when people see a non-direct response ad, they know it’s just a reminder-type ad and figure they don’t have to read it. But when they see response-type graphic devices, these visuals say to the reader, “Stop! This is a response ad! Read it so you can find out what we are offering. And mail the coupon—so you can get it NOW!”

  • They are clearly illustrated. Good advertising does not use abstract art or concepts that force the reader to puzzle out what is being sold. Ideally, you should be able to understand exactly what the advertiser’s proposition is within five seconds of looking at the ad. As John Caples observed a long time ago, the best visual for an ad for a record club is probably a picture of records.

At about this point, someone from DDB will stand up and object: “Wait a minute. You said these are the characteristics of a successful direct response ad. But isn’t general advertising different?”

Maybe. But one of the ways to make your general advertising more effective is to write and design it as a direct response ad. Applying all the stock-in-trade techniques of the direct marketer (coupons, toll-free numbers, free booklets, reason-why copy, benefit-headlines, informative subheads) virtually guarantees that your advertisement will be better read—and get more response—than the average “image” ad.

I agree with Howard Ruff when he says that everything a marketer does should be direct response. I think the general advertising people who claim that a coupon or free booklet offer “ruins” their lyrical copy or stark, dramatic layout are ineffectual artists more interested in appearance and portfolios than results.

Free Ebook tells you how to write your own ebook fast

How to Write & Sell Your First Ebook FAST!

Take a look at people like Frank Kern, Mike Filsaime, Willie
Crawford, Bryan Kumar, Cory Rudl,
John Reese, myself and others and
see if you can find the ONE thing they all have in common.
Let’s not waste a bunch of time on that…I’ll just tell you! They
all have their own products. Sure, a lot of them are making some
pretty good money telling their subscribers about other people’s
products now and then, but the heart of their business was originally,
and still is, built around their own products.
Does that tell you something? It should tell you that to make
big bucks online, you need your own product.
Sure, there are plenty of very successful affiliate marketers out
there. People who KNOW how to make that business work for them…
AND…they make some GREAT money! They don’t have to put in the
work to actually create a product, but believe me, the great affiliate
marketers have to put in a LOT of work in order to make that great
living!
But, what happens if the product you’re making all of those
affiliate commissions from suddenly disappears…falls off the face of the
earth? What happens if the company starts having financial problems
and can’t pay affiliate commissions? OR, as happens much more
frequently, you see that $100 product you’ve been getting good
commissions from suddenly show up on e-Bay for $10.00! here is the Solution.

Write and Sell Your Own Ebooks, and oddly enough this free Ebook I'm giving to you shows you how to do just that. In less than 5 days!!!

Special Wealth Report

I've been hearing a lot about this "Special
Wealth Report
" released by Brian Wong.

To be honest, I wasn't interested in
another "recession-proofing" or "surviving
the recession" run-of-the-mill reports.

But after hearing so many people talk
about it, I couldn't resist taking a peek.

"Special
Wealth Report
"

Boy, was I wrong.

It's FAR from being the same old recycled
stuff about how to survive the economy. I
don't mean to add to the noise, but you
really do have to check it out. You'll see
why people are raving too.

"Special
Wealth Report

Cheers,

PS: I haven't heard of this guy before, but I
am now officially a loyal fan

Before and After The Job Interview

My Ultimate Collection Of
Career eBooks

Just click on any book for more details

With so many people seeking employment, how could one make it to an available slot? Well, the resume matters, it is the best reflection of how qualified is you for a certain position. In order for you to make it for that job position, you need to equip your self with the weapons to excel over the other applicants. That is, to impress the employer in your job interview.

What must you do?

Before the interview:

• Know the company you are applying for. How could you do this? Research about the facts and figures of that company you are eyeing. With the information you have about it, you would be ready to whatever questions the interviewer would throw you. You could even associate your answers to facts you have known about the company.
• Expect the questions to be asked and be prepared to answer the. On the other hand, be prepared to ask questions.
• Make sure that you are prepared with how you would look. The way you dress up would leave impressions to the interviewer. Do not wear too much accessories, you just have to wear something decent, ironed, and the shoes must be clean as well. Take note of your teeth as well, they could really be distract the interview if you left a piece of meat between your teeth.

On the interview:

• Punctuality matters most. There is a need for you to arrive early for the interview. This would be the best first acts you could do. When you arrive late, this already a move to give your employer a negative impression of you.
• Act as a professional to everyone you get along with or meet. With this approach, you would be able to introduce your self as someone professional, ready to take the challenges in the arena of professions.
• Answer questions with the eye contact to your interviewer. Be attentive when he/she asks question.

After the interview:

• Say thank you to the interview. This is a really great act you could do. This would indeed show that you take the interview as a rich part of your experience.
• Relax and wait for the results.

With these reminders you would definitely make it to the hired list!

You, The Business Warrior

What is The Way of the Business Warrior? If business is your
game, get ready for the ride of your life.

First, let us begin with the obvious. In your business, you
either make the sale, or you don’t. You do or you don’t, there is
no try. You get the customer or you don’t, there is no try. Your
business makes a profit or it doesn’t, there is no try. There is
no in between. Why? Why do things work this way?

There is an order by which all things arise and work. Every
moment is a moment of new creation. On and off states, called
dualities, is what we experience in all of life, including
business.

Here is a question for you. Do you think our moments arise by
accident or as an exactly perfect outcome of a series of natural
laws? Remember, there is no middle ground. It is either all
accidental or all perfection, but not a mixture of the two.

If it was all accidental, none of the laws of physics would work,
biology would not work, nothing would work. Therefore, it is all
a precise outcome of set laws. The Way of the Business Warrior is
the one that gets you on the path to discovering the truth behind
what happens in your business.

Now you can make your life a glorious adventure financially by
understanding the totality of experience and creation.

Michael Gerber, author of the best-selling business book, The E-
Myth Revisited, says in that book that “Contrary to popular
belief, my experience has shown me that the people who are
exceptionally good in business aren’t so because of what they
know, but because of their insatiable need to know more. The
problem with most failing businesses I’ve encountered is not that
their owners don’t know enough about finance, marketing,
management, and operations - they don’t, but those things are
easy enough to learn - but they spend their time and energy
defending what they think they know. The greatest businesspeople
I’ve met are determined to get it right no matter what the cost.”

Here is another interesting bit of information. Harvard Business
School
and INSEAD (the top European business school) have
concluded from research that the two most effective new business
tools for twenty-first century executives are meditation and
intuition. These are metaphysical subjects! Why?

Robert Kiyosaki, in his best-selling book Rich Dad, Poor Dad,
says that money is just an idea.

In fact, money is merely an ‘energy exchange system’, a means of
exchanging complimentary values built within any two
participants. The Way of the Business Warrior looks under the
hood to know how this all works, and uses that knowledge to
create exact outcomes, to create and thrive instead of react and
survive.

Henry Ford once said, "Whether you think you can or you can't -
either way you are right."

Everyone has things that they can do now that they could not do
before.

You can now walk while as a child you could not. The ground never
changed, but you did.

You can now read while you once could not. The English language
never changed, but you did.

At one time, Bill Gates could not write software, now he can. The
world did not change, Bill did.

At one time, Oprah Winfrey did not have the attention of millions
of people worldwide, now she has. The world did not change, Oprah
did.

At one time, Jesus could not perform miracles, and then he did.
Miracles did not change, Jesus did.

At one time, the Buddha was not enlightened, and then he was. The
ways of the universe did not change, the Buddha did.

As Deepak Chopra says, "Within every desire is the mechanics of
its fulfillment." And of course there is the famous quote by
Jesus Christ that says, "If you can? Anything is possible for him
who believes."

Do you get the picture?

There are a million things that a great person can do now that
they could not do years ago. Why is that?

It is never those things that changed. What changed was the idea
that this person had of himself or herself. Have you seen the
movie The Matrix? When Neo changed his idea of himself, he was
able to do the undoable. It is so with everyone.

Capability is nothing more than a shift in what you think you
are. What You Really Are is a being with infinite possibilities.
Everyone is. We are all literally an idea.

As such, success is not something we can chase and get, it is
something that we attract by the persons we become. We become
those persons by changing the idea of what we think we are.

The problem is not with the world. The problem, if there is one,
is with your recognition of yourself and your world. The way you
perceive and interpret yourself and your world is a system.
Change that system, through seeking new truths, and you change
your world. This is The Way of the Business Warrior.

Think now of a Karate dojo. In a dojo, the sensei gives you an
opponent to fight with. But your opponent is not really an
opponent. He or she is there simply to give you a framework
through which to test yourself. In a dojo, you get to discover
and learn about yourself, your flexibility, focus, potential, and
so on. You rapidly do so using the illusion of having an opponent
to beat, go back and train, so you can come back and beat. But in
reality, the dojo is merely a place where you can work on your
inside. The externals, such as the opponent, merely give you a
frame of reference to work on your inside. And the better you get
inside, the more you master outside.

A business is the same. It is an inner work mirror, an inner
training harness. Whatever successes you see in your business are
a reflection of your inner state in that regard. Whatever
challenges you face in business are a reflection of the illusions
or fears you still hold and believe in. In fact, even childhood
fearful events that you never resolve can show up in your
business as negative business matters until you resolve them. The
essence will be the same, but the context will change.

Carl Jung put it well when he said, "The psychological rule says
that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens
outside, as fate. That is to say, when an individual remains
undivided and does not become conscious of his inner
contradictions, the world must perforce act out the conflict and
be torn into opposite halves."

And James Allen points out that "What you are, so is your world.
Everything in the universe is resolved into your own inward
experience. It matters little what is without, for it is all a
reflection of your own state of consciousness. It matters
everything what you are within, for everything without will be
mirrored and colored accordingly."

The Way of the Business Warrior is to look at all things in her
or his business as fun challenges for inner work. The Business
Warrior recognizes that things are not good or bad, blessings or
curses, but all opportunities either for enjoyment or for finding
new truths to break through to new levels. Even a really hard
challenge has fruit hidden within it.

The choice is simple. You can either remain in the rat race or
join the eagles. A rat and an eagle have different cognitive
systems, different ways they perceive the world.

The Way of the Business Warrior is to change their cognitive
system, for it is the only way to move from the rat race to the
eagle’s open skies. It is a choice to go through to the end
without retreat, detached and open, asking why at all turns,
asking for help, being unstoppable by refusing to stop, and
moving forward with nothing to defend. As Carlos Castenada says,
“Every living thing has been granted the power, if it so desires,
to seek an opening to freedom and go through it.”

"There is a science of getting rich, and it is an exact science,
like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws which govern
the process of acquiring riches, and once these laws are learned
and obeyed by anyone, that person will get rich with mathematical
certainty." These are the words of Wallace D. Wattles.

You may have often wondered why some people seems to have all the
luck and others do not, even though they may outwardly look to be
more deserving. Now you are beginning to see that The Way does
not discriminate. The Laws work precisely, no matter who applies
them. All that matters, therefore, is to know The Way. And in
that, from one Business Warrior to another, I wish you the
highest possible achievements.

People Search: How to Quickly and Easily Find Someone You Lost Track Of

Recently my wife's sister got curious about what had happened to her first husband after they split. That marriage had ended badly and they hadn't been in contact for nearly thirty years. She tried searching for her ex-husband's name on Google and Yahoo but didn't get any hits. Knowing I do research online in my work as a professional writer, she asked if I could find out anything.

I write for business and technical publications, so I use a number of high-priced databases for in-depth research. But I suggested she try a simpler alternative - a solution I use myself when I want to find someone quickly and easily. I recommended she try one of the people search database services. Even the better ones cost so little, they're practically free. Most offer a trial period. I gave her the name of one to try.

She was dubious. She's not very comfortable using her computer for much more than email. Her stab at the search engines had already left her flustered. Now she was going to have to "sign up for something and learn something completely new... oh my goodness," was the way she put it.

Yet, later the same day I suggested it, she emailed back excitedly. In just minutes, she'd found out all kinds of information about her ex. It turned out that he'd done something of a turnaround after they'd broken up. Their divorce resulted from fights over his serious drinking problem. After they broke up, though, he'd eventually gone back to med school, gotten his MD and become an orthopedic surgeon. He'd even been instrumental in developing some sort of device used by other surgeons in his field.

Unfortunately, the poor fellow had passed, but at least my sister-in-law found comfort in knowing that things had worked out for him after all. She remarked that even though their relationship ended in the worst imaginable way, it had started from a good point. She said she hadn't really wanted to contact him. She just wanted to know what had happened to him.

Sometimes all we want is just to satisfy our curiosity about what happened to someone we've lost track of. Most of us have an old friend or acquaintance we still wonder about.

A Better Way to Find People

I suspect that's what makes people searching so hot. As many as half a million times a month, someone searches on Google alone, looking for a way to find a lost person. Whether it's someone from the past with whom we've lost touch, or someone we met last weekend and yearn to see again, were always searching for others.

Unfortunately, most general searches fail. Just like Googling failed for my sister-in-law. The information is out there, somewhere. But being forced to sift through so many unrelated results makes it nearly impossible.

That's why I recommended she use a people search service - sometimes they're called Internet Detective services. They pull all the information spread across thousands of servers and combine it into people-specific search databases. Then when you drop in a name or an address or a phone number, whatever bit of information you have, you get instant gratification. Up pops the latest scoop about your person.

That's totally unlike the cold mechanical response a Google or Yahoo gives:

Results 1 - 10 of about 55,100,000 for Joe smith. (0.06 seconds)

You can almost hear the search engine yawn.

By the way - most searchers don't know this - search engine results don't actually extend beyond about a thousand entries. Even when the search engine results page says they found millions and millions of hits, they don't actually bother to dig it up and give you access to all of it. They're really just estimating from their own database tables. Even they know it's a waste of time.

Yawn, yawn, yawn

On the other hand, it's exciting when you do a person search on a dedicated database. You find what you're looking for in seconds. Plus, you not only get current information, often you get historical data too. You find not only where the person is now but also where they lived or worked before that and before that and before that.

You can sort of see your old friend's life laid bare. (Now what in heaven's name was George doing in Poughkeepsie, New York, in winter. He always hated the cold)

Sometime you find a person's life didn't turn out the way you'd have thought. That's when the Criminal Check part of the service can help you find out what prison they ended up in!

When You Choose a Personal Search Service, Here's What to Look For

If you decide to try out a personal search database, here are the things I've found important to consider during a review

1. Free versus Paid

I've been disappointed by the free services. Their main concern seems to be to try and get you to click on some of the pay-per-click ads they're displaying - so they can make a little money.

2. Speed

You want a service that responds quickly. Make sure you try it out. A fun test is to do a search on yourself. You get to check speed and accuracy!

3. Proprietary Database

If a service compiles their own database, they must be fairly successful. It's costly to build and maintain. Such well-funded providers are much more likely to stay around. From a usability standpoint, it's better too. You get a single interface that you can quickly learn.

And I've never seen a free service that has its own database. Most of the free services I've checked out are really just link farms - they just point you at some public or government database.

4. Training and Support

Be sure you can easily learn to use any service you choose. Actually, you'll find the better services are intuitive - how to search will make sense as soon as you look at it. But better services will also provide extra, in-depth searching. If you ever need the extra, it might require you dig into it a bit before you can fully use it. Just make sure your service has easy, accessible ways to learn, like tutorials.

And don't ignore support. Sooner or later you'll have questions or there will be something you need help to get resolved. It's best if they offer free, live support.

Final Word

Join the millions using the web to track down old friends and new friends. But make it easier on yourself by using a People Search service rather than a general search engine. Have fun finding out exactly what did become of your old friend (or even your old, not-so-friendly ex)

Online Business Owners: Avoid These 5 Outsourcing Mistakes

Online Business Owners: Avoid These 5 Outsourcing Mistakes

For those considering outsourcing in their online business, the goal is to create a more profitable company while streamlining the owner’s work. Taking the time to avoid common outsourcing mistakes will make the process go much smoother and avoid the feeling that you are spinning your wheels and getting nowhere. Or to quote Nicole Dean of.OutsourceWeekly.com “You must plan your outsourcing wisely. Otherwise, you’re simply throwing money into the wind.”

As with any part of business, outsourcing has its good and bad points, however if you are aware of the potential problems before hand, you increase your chances of an enjoyable experience.

Here are 5 potential outsourcing mistakes every online business owner should be aware of, in order to avoid making them.

1. Not Knowing Who You Are Dealing With

Most business owners who outsource will tell you the biggest benefit of doing so is the fact that their assistants work remotely. The number one problem when it comes to outsourcing, though, is not thoroughly checking out the contractor or company who will be performing the work. Keep in mind that sometimes this independence can work in the opposite direction if not taken seriously. Make it a point to carefully interview the people you are considering working with before assigning a task or project to them. The person or company should be someone you can trust to represent your business.

2. Non-Communication between Owner & Assistant

Whether you are outsourcing tech support, writing, web design or something else, there is a great deal of effort needed in order to keep the lines of communication open. If you allow your workers to do work for you without communicating your goals and what it is that you need, you will find that they your work will not be done as you’d hoped. Assistants are not mind-readers and do need guidance. Take some time to make sure that you and the people you outsource to understand your expectations. This is an important part of making sure that you get what you need.

3. Forgetting to Budget Wisely

In order for outsourcing to work properly, you’ll need to keep a good eye on what you are spending for the work being done. While some projects will require single payments to your assistant, others may involve recurring or retainer payments and you will more than likely have some type of contract or agreement that binds you. Some of your assistants may charge by the hour while others may invoice by project or expect payment based on a commission of some sort. Take the time to figure out how much money you can afford to spend on certain tasks and budget appropriately.

4. Under Utilizing Your Contractor & Their Resources

When you choose to outsource certain tasks, make certain you are using your assistant to their fullest capabilities and not just outsourcing for the sake of outsourcing or splitting up work between two assistants when it makes more sense to have one handle both jobs. Sometimes you can find freelancers who are willing to work on a recurring basis or who will complete larger projects at a reduced rate in order to get and keep your business. Don’t be afraid to ask potential contractors if they have room for more than just one or two jobs and don’t outsource something just to say that you’re on the outsourcing wagon.

5. Misunderstanding Your Role as the Outsourcer

As the one doing the outsourcing, you need to understand your role. In order for the relationship between business owner and assistant to flourish, you’ll want to keep the lines of communication not only open, but clear as well. Be detailed in what you expect from your help. Also keep in mind that you are probably not their only client and as much as you would love to have them all to yourself, that probably isn’t the case. Be respectful of their time and give feedback on their work. This will help them do a better job and respect your time in return.

Making yourself aware of possible problems that often occur in the outsourcing relationship now allows your business to grow by leaps and bounds. Don’t be afraid to start your outsourcing journey, especially that you are now better prepared to do so.

10 Steps To Success In Sales

THE TEN STEPS
Here are ten steps that will assure your success:

1. BE A GOAL SETTER. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want
to save for college educations for your children? A new car? A
new home? You can have whatever you want, but you must want it
enough to do the things that have to be done to get it. Whatever
your goal, write it down and set a target date for reaching it.
Divide the time period into blocks of achievement that are
reachable. Work consistently toward accomplishing each day, each
week, each month what you set out to do. Goal-setting is a must
in every area of life. Little is ever accomplished without
definite goals.

2. BE A LIST MAKER. Each evening list all the things you want to
get done the following day. That gives you an organized approach
to each day. As each task is finished, mark it off your list. It
is amazing how much gets done when one works with a
"things-to-do" list. Also, have a notebook listing appointments,
potential clients, repeat clients, and referrals, and keep it
with you at all times. You will be adding to it constantly.

3. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. Enthusiasm is the high-octane "fuel" that
salespeople run on. Enthusiasm generates its own energy. Energy
and good health are synonymous with busy, happy people, people
who are achieving.

4. RECOGNIZE THAT THE MAGIC WORD IN SALES IS "ASK." In direct
sales we don't have to wait for business to come to us. We create
our own business by asking for it. Ask for appointments, then you
can do business. Ask for business, then you will close sales. Ask
for referrals, then you always have a full list of potential
clients. Be quietly, yet firmly aggressive.

5. EXPECT NO'S. Realize that no's are not personal. In sales, as
perhaps nowhere else, the law of averages works. Every no gets
you closer to a yes. Keep track of your ratio. It will help
improve your techniques. Are you getting ten no's to one yes? Is
your ratio five to one? Remember, the yes's are your income. Also
remember that "no" does not necessarily mean "no." Often a "no"
is simply a stall for more time to think. It may be a request for
more information about your product or your service. What your
client is actually buying is assurance. Assure here by your
helpful attitude and your complete honesty, that you want what is
best for her. She will most likely respect you and do business
with you.

6. SCHEDULE TIME WISELY. A schedule is the roadmap by which
salespeople travel. It takes the frustration out of the day. It
assures that the necessary things get done and get done on time.
Plan your work then work your plan.

7. BE POSITIVE IN YOUR ATTITUDE. Success in sales, as in all
areas of life is 90 percent attitude and 10 percent apitude. All
of us must work at developing habits of constructive thinking. I
am proud to be a salesperson. Sales make the wheels of our
economy turn. Bernard Baruch, advisor to several presidents, is
quoted as saying, "If every salesperson sat down and took no
orders for twenty-four hours, it would bankrupt our country!"
Every company that manufactures any kind of product depends upon
salespeople to move that product. Without salespeople business
would be paralyzed.
Remember, sales is one of the highest paid of all professions.
Statistics show that good salespeople enjoy incomes far above the
average.

8. HAVE AN OFFICE AREA. Most direct salespeople work from their
own homes, but it is essential to have a place where you can work
in a organized and efficient manner. An office plus a strict
working schedule gives you dignity. Both are absolutely essential
for efficient operation and accurate record keeping, so important
to the success of any business.

9. BE INVOLVED. Most sales organization offer contests to
stimulate production. Include winning contests as part of your
business goals. Contests make your business fun as well as adding
considerable dollar value to your income. One of my prized
possessions is a lovely grandfather clock earned as a contest
prize.

10. LEARN TO HANDLE MONEY INTELLIGENTLY. A regular nine-to-five
job usually means a paycheck at the end of the second week.
Direct sales "reps" handle money constantly. Direct sales is
instant income and constant income. Therefore. it is absolutely
necessary to become an efficient money manager.
I trained organization to deposit every penny collected from
clients into a checking account set up especially for its
business. Since bank statements show an exact record of all
monies collected, and business expenses can be verified by
cancelled checks, record keeping becomes simple and accurate.
Everything except a few "petty cash" transactions can be directly
taken from bank statements.
Money saved regularly and put at interest, soon develops a second
income in addition to earned income. A long-term goal, which is
realistic in direct sales, is to be able to live in retirement
off the interest earned on savings.
Would financial security mean a lot to you? If so, ask yourself
these questions:
* Am I honest?
* Do I really like people?
* Am I willing to learn?
* Am I willing to work?
* Am I capable of being my own boss?
If your answers are yes, I encourage you to find a good product
for the direct sales market, one that you like, one that fills
the need of a lot of people, and go to work for yourself! .You
can turn dreams into reality.
